Last week, Boutique Travel Services had the privilege of being part of ACTA’s inaugural International Destination Conference, held in the breathtaking Azores. This unique event brought nearly 150 Canadian travel advisors together to explore São Miguel and Terceira, two stunning islands in this unspoiled archipelago often referred to as “Europe’s Hawaii.”
The conference provided invaluable opportunities to connect with local suppliers, gain insights into this emerging destination, and experience its natural beauty firsthand. From emerald-green hills to crater lakes and fern-filled forests, the Azores offered more than just picturesque landscapes—it inspired a deeper connection to its culture and charm.
Laurie Keith, President of Boutique Travel Services, shared her enthusiasm for participating in the event:
“I’m picky and choosy with trips, having been in the industry for 30 years. I can say I’ve ‘been there, done that,’ but I haven’t been to The Azores, which was on my bucket list.”
Laurie and our team immersed themselves in the conference’s dynamic blend of educational sessions, trade shows, and cultural experiences. The event highlighted the Azores as a perfect destination for travelers seeking off-the-beaten-path adventures, unique group opportunities, and unforgettable moments.
Reflecting on the experience, Laurie noted, “I can see us selling more of this,” underscoring the growing demand among Canadian travelers for distinctive and authentic destinations.
As part of the Boutique Travel Services mission to provide personalized and enriching travel experiences, we are excited to bring the beauty and charm of the Azores to our clients.
